With the BR Radio app, you have access to all radio programs of Bayerischer Rundfunk in one app: BAYERN 1, Bayern 2, BAYERN 3, BR-KLASSIK, BR24, PULS, BR Schlager, and BR Heimat.

All eight stations are immediately visible on the home screen - showing the name of the current program and the title of the song playing. Each station can be started and listened to while you attend to other tasks. Detailed descriptions and a list of all song titles are available on the program page. For those seeking more information, the program calendar provides details on what is scheduled for their favorite radio station in the next 30 days.

Users can add a shortcut to their favorite station directly to their home screen, set an alarm or access program highlights. Studio contact information is also conveniently accessible for each favorite program.

We've all experienced those moments when we miss a crucial part of a radio show due to distractions or tuning in late... This is where on-demand audio clips or podcasts come in. But now, with the latest update of the BR Radio app, users can intuitively rewind up to seven days on most BR radio stations, allowing them to experience radio content in a catch-up mode.

Tourist road signs on German highways often point out culturally or historically significant places. But what lies behind those signs? The new "Drive by Bayern" feature delivers content from the BR audio archive exactly where you are traveling. Knowledge on the go, so to speak. As you pass a sign, you can listen to relevant content about that area. Find all information at br.de/drive-by-bayern.

You can directly install the corresponding version with this new feature from the public beta test here in the Play Store. In order for the app to access your location on Android Auto, background location access is required as the app may not be open in the foreground. Follow an audio guide within the BR Radio app on Android Auto to learn how to enable location permissions if necessary. Location data is only used locally on your device to determine which highway you are on and when you reach a specific sign. The location data is not stored. By gauging the distance to landmarks along your route, your position and direction of travel can be determined. Further information is available in our privacy policy. You can revoke location permissions via the settings menu at any time.
